Eternal Light: A Requiem
Four years ago, the choirs of Organum, Corsham Choral Society and Noctis teamed up with a professional orchestra and the Royal British Legion to commemorate the start of the Great War. This was the city’s flagship event for this anniversary. As such, it is fitting that the same forces should celebrate the centenary of the end of the conflict in the same venue.
On Saturday 12th May, musical director Francis Faux will direct Lucis and the Southern Sinfonia in a special concert of remembrance featuring the music of Elgar, Bairstow, Gjeilo and Sir Karl Jenkins, concluding with Howard Goodall’s Eternal Light: A Requiem.
